ARDMORE, OK - Lake Murray is getting a new lodge. Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin signed a bill allocating $15 million for construction and maintenance of the new building. The law goes into effect July 1.

State Senator Frank Simpson says the new lodge will bring more tourists to the area and have a huge economic impact on Ardmore and Carter County. The project will be paid for by the state park trust fund and revenue from Lake Murray.

Construction will begin next year, and the lodge is expected to be finished by September 2015.
