SHERMAN, TEXAS -- Grayson County Treasurer Trent Bass is running for Grayson County Judge.

Bass was elected county treasurer in 2011. Before that, he served on several civic boards, including Sherman Planning and Zoning, and was also a financial advisor.

Bass says, as judge, he would work to expand the county tax base in order to lower taxes.

He's the fourth candidate in the race, running against former Sherman Mayor Bill Magers, businessman Jim Maddock and former Grayson County Commissioner Gene Short.
