SHERMAN, TX -- Students at Grayson College will undergo a active shooter drill on campus Saturday morning.
State guidelines require colleges to prepare for emergency situations.
Not much is being released about the drill...including where or when it will happen because the college wants emergency officials to react to the mock scneario as tho it were real.
Police Chief Andy MacPherson wants students to know that it is a drill, and that it won't be the last.
MacPherson said, "We've taken several precautions to make sure people are aware that it's a drill, and this won't be the last one we're hoping to expand to a whole community by the end of the year."
Campus police say they hope to hold more drills for other kinds of potential emergencies in the future.
