Grayson County commissioners approve inmate overflow transfer contract

GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- In the event of an inmate overflow at the Grayson County Jail inmates can now be transferred to Fannin County.

Tuesday Grayson County commissioners approved a contract allowing inmates to be housed at the Fannin County Jail.

That could happen if the Grayson County Jail hits capacity.

Sheriff Keith Gary says there are not any Grayson County inmates in the Fannin County Jail right now.

The Grayson County Jail was expanded last year.
