GRAYSON CO., TX -- A Grayson County man who authorities say sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl is in jail tonight.

Jimmy Carlton Smith was arrested by sheriff's deputies late Saturday night at a house east of Sherman off Highway 11.

Authorities say the girl's father told them he found Smith having sex with his daughter in Smith's bedroom.

The girl was taken to a McKinney hospital where she was examined and treated.

Smith's bond is set at $250-thousand dollars.
