SHERMAN, TX-- Next time you go to court in Grayson County, you might want to think twice about what you wear.
Grayson County Commissioners decided Tuesday, to allow Judges to set dress codes, in their courtrooms.
Commissioners considered setting a standardized dress code for all courts, but they decided to let individual judges set the standards for their courtrooms.
The rules will apply to jurors and to witnesses, even possibly people watching court as well.
"The fact that the commissioners court is not telling anybody what they can or cannot do, we are supporting, 100% the judges decision on setting up the parameters and guidelines," Judge Drue Bynum explained.
Under the new rules, any juror or witness who's deemed to be inappropriately dressed, could be asked to leave.
