GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- The Grayson County Health Department says Blue/Green Algae toxins in Lake Texoma are below detectable levels and the water is safe for lake goers and pets.
Grayson County Health Director Amanda Ortez says there are low concentrations of blue green algae present but the concentration is not high enough to create any dangerous toxins.
Ortez said, "The only thing that can be bad about blue green algae is in reference to the toxin levels if they meet certain thresholds."
The health department will continue testing algae over the next several months.
