Wednesday and Thursday are Weather Aware days due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Isolated strong thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday afternoon, but widespread severe weather does not appear to be likely at this time.
RENO, TX-- A Reno family is without a home after a fire Wednesday afternoon.
Around 4 P.M. several fire departments responded to the 2500 block of Cooper Street to a home fully engulfed in flames.
Reno Volunteer Fire Chief Chad Graves says it took crews over an hour to put out.
The homeowner said he had just gotten home from picking up his kids and saw smoke.
Graves says the fire is not suspicious but is still under investigation.
Blossom Elementary will be collecting clothing donations for the three boys, sizes 5, 7 and 10, Thursday morning.
