Hugo woman in critical condition after being hit by a semi

CHOCTAW COUNTY, OK -- A Hugo woman is in critical condition after she was struck by a semi early Sunday morning.

OHP says the 18-wheeler was traveling south on U.S. 271 when the truck hit 31-year-old Julie Davidson.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. just 4 miles south of Grant.

Davidson was air lifted to a Plano hospital in serious condition. The driver of the of the truck was not injured.

Investigators are still trying to figure out why she was in the roadway.
