Human remains found in Sherman

SHERMAN, TX -- Authorities are working to positively identify the human remains found in Sherman Saturday evening.

Sherman Police say a witness led them to the bones of a human corpse in a wooded area behind Midway Mall around 5:45 Friday night. Witnesses told police they were hunting for scrap metal off Frisco Road when they stumbled across the remains. Detectives say they located what appears to be a campsite near the area.

Investigators say there is no indication of foul play at this time.
