PARIS, TX -- Hundreds of friends, family and first responders from all over Texas and Oklahoma said their final goodbyes to Paris paramedic Joe Howard Friday.

Howard was killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday morning.

More than 30 people have stood guard around the clock since Sunday.

Gladys Sikes Wilkie tells us she will never forget the day that Howard saved her life.

"He was so selfless," said Wilkie. "He spent that day with no other focus other than saving my life and I am forever indebted to him."

Howard served as a Paris paramedic for 10-years.
