Wednesday and Thursday are Weather Aware days due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Isolated strong thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday afternoon, but widespread severe weather does not appear to be likely at this time.
ATOKA COUNTY, OK -- A pregnant woman and two others were sent to the hospital after an Atoka County crash Saturday night.
OHP says 20-year-old Skyler Geary, 19-year-old Jonny Hamilton, and 16-year-old Justin Quinn were traveling east on State Highway 3 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert.
It happened before 10 four miles east of Atoka.
Troopers say Geary, who's pregnant, was air lifted to a Dallas hospital in critical condition. They say her and her child are now stable.
Authorities say the two others were taken to local hospitals in stable condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
