Inmate escapes the Mack Alford Correctional Center

STRINGTOWN, OK -- News 12 has learned another inmate from Mack Alford Correctional Center escaped from the facility in June, but was arrested later the same day.

An affidavit states, Marcus Cook walked out of Mack Alford Correctional Center on June 27th, The same day Larry Roberts walked away from the facility.

The affidavit states Cook was seen in a field south of the center, with Roberts and that Cook was found later the same afternoon near a barn on the property and placed back into custody.

The affidavit says Cook will be re-classified to medium security.

Cook is serving time for possession of a stolen vehicle.
