Investigation continues into Bells stabbing

BELLS, TX - Authorities say a 12 year old boy stabbed a woman last night because he was trying to protect his mother.

The Grayson County Sheriff's Office tells us they got a call just after 9 PM that a woman from Colorado had been stabbed at a home in Bells.

They say she was fighting with the boy's mother when he stabbed her with a pocket knife multiple times.

According to Lt. Ricky Wheeler from the Grayson County Sheriff's Office, "We're looking at several different aspects of this as to actually who was assaulted first between the two females. One was intoxicated and we understand the other one may have had some drug activity in the house."

The woman is being treated at TMC.

She is expected to be ok.

Authorities say no arrests have been made but the case remains under investigation.
