KNOLLWOOD, TX -- A robber picked the wrong liquor store to hold up Saturday night.

Grayson County Sheriff's investigators say around 11 p.m. Saturday a man dressed in all black came into the Knollwood store, pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money.

The clerk handed over the cash, but then the suspect tried to take another employee's purse.

When she refused the suspect hit her on the head with the pistol, but she fought back grabbing his sweater, wrestling the gun from him, and shooting at him as he ran off toward Town Center.

Grayson County Sheriff Ricky Wheeler said, "We do have his sweater, we have his handgun, course we're going to try and fingerprint the gun, fingerprint the rounds that wer're inside the gun as well, we'll get DNA from the sweater, DNA from the gun, we'll send that off and with that we should be able to get a comparison and make an arrest in the near future."

The suspect is descrived as a black man, around the age of 25 to 35, standing between 5'10" and 6" tall.

He was wearing this black sweater.
