PLANO,TX - JC Penney will reportedly cut 10% of its workforce next month which equates to about 300 jobs.

The cuts are expected to come from the retailer's home offices in Plano, Texas.

Last year nearly 1,000 employees lost their jobs at the company's headquarters.

The job reductions are part of JC Penney's plan to slash $900 million dollars in costs by the end of this year.
