BELLEFONTE, PA-- Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky has been convicted of 45 counts at his child sex abuse trial.

Jurors announced the verdict Friday after weighing 48 charges accusing him of abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period.

As reporters left the courthouse the crowd first heard Sandusky was guilty and began to cheer.

They repeated that cheer when there was further word that he was guilty on 45 of the 48 counts.
