JOHNSTON COUNTY, OK -- Dozens of firefighters battled a large grass fire in Johnston county for about 10 hours Saturday.
Authorities say nearly 500 acres have been scorched off of Highway 7 and 199 near Wapanucka.
Crews say the blaze started around 10:45 Saturday morning. Johnston County EMS says the fire was finally put out around 9:00 p.m.
Firefighters say no one was injured. Crews say an empty barn was the only structure loss.
Authorities say they're still looking into what ignited the fire. Red Cross was on scene to help keep crews cool.
