ARDMORE, OK - A Carter County jury recommends a life in prison sentence for an Ardmore man convicted of murder.

35-year-old Tommy Millsap was convicted of first degree murder and possession of a firearm Tuesday.

Prosecutors said Millsap shot Toby Albin on March 29 at Millsap's home off Clover Lane in Ardmore.

The two men were believed to be in an argument leading up to the murder. Millsap's attorney claims he was acting in self defense.

He is scheduled to be formally sentenced Dec. 5 at 9 a.m.
