Kustom Kemps Car Show drives to Denison

DENISON, TX -- Classic cars and trucks sped down the runway at the North Texas Regional Airport Friday afternoon.

More than 400 drivers brought their hot rods to Denison to show them off at the Kustom Kemps Car Show. This was the 3rd year the event was put on in Denison. Anna Mckinney with the Denison Chamber of Commerce says this is a fun way to promote the city and boost the economy.

"For someone my age I remember some of these. Now some of them might be a little bit older, but just a really unique thing that we can do for our community and bring visitors in," Mckinney said.

"I've won most of them, not all of them. There's no rules out here you may line up that has something that has a lot more horse power than you we are just out here doing it for a good time," driver Chris Verchur said.
