LAMAR COUNTY, TX-- Lamar County Commissioners have accepted a 50-50 grant they hope will finally resolve the water leak problem at the courthouse.
It'll cost the county about $316,000, but in exchange they'll get that same amount back. The grant was awarded to the county by the Texas Historic Commission earlier this year.
The money will be used to make necessary repairs, such as fixing cracks and windows, to end the water leak problem.
Repairs are expected to begin sometime this fall.
