Lightning strike causes fire at Ardmore home

ARDMORE, OK - Lightning from Wednesday night's storms hit a hundred year old home, setting it on fire.

It happened around 9:20 p.m. on the 300 block of F Street SW.

Firefighters said when they arrived on scene the back portion of the home was engulfed in flames but they were able to put it out quickly.

City officials said the home was built in 1887.

The family was home at the time of the fire and we are told they are staying with family and friends.

Nobody was hurt.
