Local business opens doors in Calera

CALERA, OK -- A new business officially opened its doors in Calera Thursday.

Three Rivers Pecan, an Amish store and Fudge factory welcomed a string of constant visitors to their new location in Calera.

They already have one store open in Atoka, and just expanded to Calera.

The owners of Three Rivers Pecan grow their own pecans that go into their candies right here in Texoma. Their supplies are mainly from local Oklahoma Amish. Some products come from Amish in Ohio.

"It helps them. They're a long ways from any major town. And they do still travel by horse and buggy so it is a win win. It helps us and it helps them. Of course we sell our profucts and we sell theirs and that works out for both parties," says owner Rebecca Sandmann.

Three Rivers Pecan is open 7 days a week.

Sunday to Thursday they are open until 6 and Fridays and Saturday are open until 7.
