Madill tag office closed while audited by state

MADILL, TX - Madill drivers who need to update their tags might have to go out of town for a while.

Madill tag agent Frank Wilhite was arrested December 28th. He was charged with drug possession and DUI.

His arrest means the tag office will close temporarily because of Title 47.

This title says that when a tag agent is arrested, the office is closed so the state auditor and inspector can audit the office.

The auditor will then forward the report to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

No word yet on when it will reopen.
