BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man is in custody after leading several agencies on a high-speed chase Sunday night.

Bryan County Sheriff Ken Golden says a Colbert Police officer attempted to pull a vehicle over for reckless driving on U.S. 69/75 when the suspect, Christopher Scott Burton took off.

The chase began just before 5:30. Troopers say Burton was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour and that the vehicle he was driving produced flames that started several grass fires along the highway.

Authorities say the pursuit ended between Tushka and Caney when a trooper deployed stop sticks.

Burton is being held in the Atoka County Jail.

OHP says he is wanted in Dallas for Aggravated Assault on a Publilc Servant, among other charges.
