CALERA, OK -- A man charged in the death of a mother and daughter in a Calera car accident in August, entered his plea Monday morning.
21-year-old Jesus Garcia Jr. appeared in court and entered a blind plea, forgoing a plea agreement and allowing his punishment to be decided by a judge.
Calera police, Garcia was traveling home from the Choctaw Casino to Mesquite, Texas when he hit Kelly Spielman, and her two kids at the intersection of southbound 75 and McKinley Street.
Spielman and her 13-year-old daughter died, her 6-year-old son survived.
Garcia was arrested a few days after the crash.
His sentencing is scheduled for May 21st.
