JOHNSTON COUNTY, OK -- A Johnston Co. man died shortly after he was attacked by bees Thursday.
According to Johnston County Sheriff John Smith, 66-year-old Bobby Hudgens was riding his lawn mower when he was attacked by honey bees.
Smith said Hudgens is a beekeeper and has several hives at his home in Troy.
Hudgens attempted to get away from the bees on the mower.
He collapsed shortly after and was taken to the hospital where medics were not able to resuscitate him.
