OSBI investigates Johnston County homicide

KENEFIC, OK - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says 24-year-old Sergei Hyde was shot multiple times inside this home on the 400 block of Perry Drive in Kenefic, Oklahoma around 9:15 Friday night.

Al Williams lives in the neighborhood and heard the news this morning.

"Some altercation about getting into a fight or something," said Williams. "That's all I know."

Agents said 18-year-old Shelby Hicks has been arrested for first degree murder.

Investigators said Hyde had arrived at the home just a few minutes before he was shot to death. OSBI said both Hyde and Hicks are from the area.

Authorities are still investigating a motive.

Agents worked through Friday night interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence.

Hicks is being held in the Johnston County Jail.
