DENISON, TX -- A man is in the hospital after his car hit a tree in Denison Thursday afternoon.
Denison Fire officials say the man, possibly in his 40's, was heading east on Texas Street, when he lost control of the vehicle and struck this tree head on.
He was sent to the hospital with lacerations to his head.
Assistant Fire Chief Bill Ray says a medical episode may have contributed to the man leaving the roadway.
Ray said, "It's all speculation, he did leave the roadway, well before he hit the tree which leads us to believe something might have been occuring before he left the roadway."
No one else was injured in the wreck.
