Roads will remain treacherous from snow and sleet until mid-day, when sunshine should melt most of it away. Snow is likely to remain on the ground until Friday.
CONNERVILLE, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a man who was lying on a highway was struck and killed by a pickup in southern Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the fatal accident happened early Thursday on U.S. 377 south of Connerville in Johnston County. A preliminary report says 32-year-old Sampson Joshua Tyson of Tishomingo was lying in the southbound lane when he was struck by an oncoming truck.
Authorities are still investigating why Tyson was in the road. Authorities say the truck's driver and passengers weren't injured in the collision.
