HUNT COUNTY, TX-- A Greenville man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to allegedly causing a collision that killed a Paris man last fall.
28-year-old Mathew Daggs is charged with one count of criminally negligent homicide.
Last October, troopers say, Daggs was headed northbound on SH 224 when he crossed into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle, driven by 48 year old Billy Perry of Paris, head on.
The grand jury indictment last month listed multiple alleged causes for the accident, including driving too fast for road conditions. He is currently being held at the Hunt County Jail on a $200,000.
An interim hearing is scheduled for July 23rd.
