Durant teen critically injured in car accident

ATOKA COUNT, OK - A Durant teen is in a hospital listed in critical condition After a car accident that officials say was in result of drag racing.

According to a D.P.S report it happened around 2 a.m. this morning on a county road just a few miles south of Farris in Atoka County.
Troopers say 18-year-old Dalton Long who was driving a 2008 4-door pontiac, and was driving at high speeds racing another vehicle.
They say the car hydroplaned causing it to run off the roadway.
Leading it to overturn and submerge upside down in a creek.
Officials say 18-year-old Elizabeth Jones was pinned in the passengers seat for about 10 minutes. Until an occupant from another vehicle that stopped to help freed her. Jones was transported to Francis Hospital in Tulsa. The other 2 passengers are listed as uninjured and troopers say the driver refused treatment at the scene. Investigators say alcohol and wet roadways were factors in the collision.
