Man gets 12 years for armed robbery of Sherman store
SHERMAN, TX - A man who held up a Sherman dollar store last spring is headed to prison. 21-year-old Kevin Rudd pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon last month.

SHERMAN, TX - A man who held up a Sherman dollar store last spring is headed to prison. 21-year-old Kevin Rudd pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon last month.

Police say on April 28, 2011, Rudd robbed the Dollar General store on FM 1417 at gunpoint, and then assaulted one of the employees. Police caught and arrested him two months later.

Rudd was sentenced by a district judge to 12 years in prison and a $500 fine.
