Scott pleads not guilty, state to seek death penalty in Marshall Co. triple murder

MARSHALL CO. - A Marshall County man charged with first degree murder has pleaded not guilty.

Joshua Scott appeared in court this morning for his formal arraignment.

The judge decided the case would go to trial on August 26th.

Deputies say in July, Scott confessed to killing Chad Page and stealing his car.

They say he took his friend "Joshua Mahaffey" to Ashleigh Lindsey's home where Mahaffey shot and killed Lindsey, her unborn baby and himself.

Lindsey's mother says she wants to see Scott punished for his role in her daughter's death.

Tara Woodlee , Lindsey's mother, said "I just have a lot of faith in God that he will provide justice for my daughter. And I want to see justice done for her and her baby."

The district attorneys office has announced that it will seek the death penalty for Scott.
