MADILL, OK -- More than a dozen kids in Marshall County were treated to a Christmas shopping spree Thursday night, thanks to their local sheriff's office.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office, along with the Madill and Kingston Police Departments hosted a pizza party for the kids, then gave them all rides in patrol units -- with lights and sirens blaring -- to the Madill Wal-Mart.
Each child got $150 dollars to spend on Christmas gifts, thanks to donations from the community.
The Sheriff's Office says one little girl hugged a deputy and told him it was the best Christmas she ever had.
They plan to hold the countywide event again next year.
