MCCURTAIN CO., OK -- A McCurtain County man sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife is now appealing.
Jerry Meek's attorney's filed the certificate of appeal.
Meek was convicted by a jury last October for the death of his wife Hope Meek over a decade after she went missing.
Hope's body was never found.
Meek's appeal will now be filed with the court clerks office and sent to the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.
He is currently being held in the McCurtain County jail.
