MCKINNEY, TX -- TAPS has received the final vote to make it Collin County's official transit provider.

McKinney City Council members voted to allow TAPS to take over the county's public transportation routes.

Just weeks ago, Collin County Commissioners approved TAPS overseeing the rural routes.

TAPS will acquire C-CART, Collin County's current transportation system.

CEO Brad Underwood says this makes TAPS one of the largest public transit providers of its kind in the nation.
