TISHOMINGO, OK -- It has been nearly one year since Miranda Lambert opened the doors to her Pink Pistol store in Tishomingo. She gave our own Morgan Downing a tour of the store, and told us why she is so proud of its success.

Tishomingo, Oklahoma -- with a population just over 3000.

This is where country music star, Miranda Lambert decided to open the Pink Pistol.

"When I opened the store, I kind of just did it for fun and as a hobby. I thought that it would be fun and it kind of took off," Lambert said.

Since the Pink Pistols' debut, thousands of people from across the U.S. and even different parts of the world have flocked to downtown Tishomingo, making this Main Street the place to be.

"There's traffic. There's actually traffic in Tishomingo and it's like whoa, I have to wait at the stop light? What's going on?" Lambert said.

"There was actually a few people from Canada that came in not too long ago during the summer," store employee Brittany Walker said. "There's Iowa, Ohio, California, Florida. I mean, they're just everywhere."

"We're in a boom time for Tishomingo," Seigel Heffington said.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Siegel Heffington, attributes the town's growth to the famous store.

"There's only one vacant building left on Main Street, and that's the old theater. If that ever gets bought up and remodeled, put online, we have nothing left at this point," he said.

"I want to support the local businesses. And when you come to Tishomingo you can see what a small town is all about, and if we're online it's just a click of a button and you don't get the experience. So, that's why it's important to me that people to actually come here and visit," Lambert said.

"When you come in the Pink Pistol I feel like you get like a little part of my personality. It's a little explosion of who I am."

To celebrate her one year anniversary in business, she's hosting the second annual Pink Friday the day after Thanksgiving.

"We're having tons of booths with crafts and food, and we're having a concert by Neal McCoy, who's a buddy of mine and my husband's, right here in the street starting at 8 p.m. But, all day long we have events going on," she said.

The event is free and she wants everyone to come enjoy.

"It's a shopping day anyway and I hope people can come get a Christmas gift and have a great time."
