LAMAR CO., TX-- First Responders have been searching for a 18 year old girl who was swimming with a friend just before 5 this evening -- when she went into deep water and never resurfaced.
The friend's mother tells News 12 the girl was visiting from out of town.
Paris EMS was on scene; along with the Paris, Powderly, Chicota and Faught fire departments.
Authorities say the water is too murky for dive teams, so they were scanning and dragging the area with equipment.
No name has been released.
