Murder ruled out in 18 year old Paris woman's death

PARIS, TX-- Paris Police are ruling out murder in the death of a young woman whose body was found behind a Paris feed mill last week.

Chief Bob Hundley says preliminary autopsy results and a two day police investigation determined that 18 year old Heather Rose's injuries are not consistent with an assault, but are consistent with a jump or fall from a substantial height.

Hundley says Rose was not shot, was fully clothed when her body was found and that her death is not being investigated as a homicide.

Police are waiting on toxicology results, which will give them a complete autopsy report.

Funeral services for Rose were held Wednesday in Paris.
