MURRAY COUNTY, OK -- A Murray County Jail inmate who escaped the jail Wednesday morning was recaptured in Sulphur early Thursday morning.
According to family members, 31-year-old Brandon Evans was caught last night around 12:30 in Sulphur, Oklahoma, after escaping the jail Wednesday morning.
The Murray County Sheriff's Office says, he was apprehended by authorities two blocks from the jail without any resistance.
He is now in possession of the Murray County Sheriff's Office.
The Sulphur Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, National Park Service, U.S. Marshals and the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police all assisted the Murray County Sheriff's Office in the search.
The incident is still under investigation.
