New businesses come to Tom Bean

TOM BEAN, TX -- Two new businesses just opened up in Tom Bean.

City leaders and residents cut the ribbons this morning to officially welcome them.

Texas Iceburg is a sno-cone shop, but this fall they'll have hamburgers and other food for customers.

Denim and Diamonds has clothing and other gifts. They'll also offer custom screen printing for T-shirts.

Tom Bean Mayor, Sherry Howard, said this is the first ribbon cutting they've had in a long time, and she hopes it isn't the last.

"It's so exciting for the city of Tom Bean because these are the first two new businesses we've had since 2000. So, 12 years it's taken us to get some new businesses in the town, and we feel like this is only the start," Howard said.
