GARVIN CO., OK -- There's new information Monday on the Garvin County fire that claimed a woman's life over the weekend.
Garvin County Sheriff Larry Rhodes says 64-year-old Nelda Shreve died after her home on County Road 3130 south of Elmore City caught fire.
Rhodes says an acquaintance of Shreve was injured while trying to put the fire out before crews got to the home.
The 89-year-old man was taken to a Pauls Valley hospital with smoke inhalation injuries.
No word on his condition.
The state fire marshal along with the Garvin County Sheriff's office and chief medical examiner are still investigating the cause.
The sheriff says it appears the fire was accidental.
