Shoplifter pulled knife on clerk in Sherman robbery

SHERMAN, TX -- A shoplifting inside a Sherman convenient store over the weekend turned into an armed robbery investigation when a knife was pulled on the clerk, say Sherman Police.

According to Sergeant DM Hampton, a clerk at the Shell gas station off US 75 at US 82 accused two customers of shoplifting and during the confrontation, one of the customers, a white male, pulled a knife on the clerk. The clerk then called 911. Nobody was hurt, the two customers fled the scene.

Police are still investigating the incident and are asking those two customers to contact them.
