PAULS VALLEY, OK - Criminal charges will not be filed in the case of a pregnant woman who died in the Garvin County jail.
33-year-old Jamie Lynn Russell allegedly checked into the Pauls Valley General Hospital Jan. 2 for stomach pain.
Police said Russell was uncooperative with the hospital staff when she was discharged that night.
Police arrested her after they found her with two bottles of unauthorized prescription pills.
Russell was later found unresponsive in a holding cell.
The medical examiner's office ruled she died from a pregnancy
Assistant District Attorney Mark Gibson said no crime was committed by the hospital staff or law enforcement.
