LAMAR COUNTY, TX-- Twenty non-profit organizations in Lamar County have been awarded Community Investment Grants.
The United Way of Lamar County's board of directors announced the recipients Monday.
Each of the funded programs is aimed at creating an impact in education, income or health.
A total of $500,000 will be awarded to the 20 non-profit organizations.
Some of the agencies that received the grant were American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Children's Advocacy Center.
