McCullough has spent the last 2 years as superintendent at Sulphur Bluff ISD. He says he's looking forward to starting this new chapter at North Lamar ISD.

"North Lamar ISD has a tradition of excellence," said John McCullough. "Just the opportunity to be here and become apart of that and become apart of the North Lamar family, I'm very excited."

James Dawson announced he was retiring at an April meeting, but formally stepped down earlier this month. He held the position for the past 26 years.
