BRYAN COUNTY, OK - If you're going to be out on the road this holiday weekend, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol warns you - drive sober, or get pulled over.
As part of a statewide effort to keep drivers safe, multiple safety checkpoints will be set up to catch any impaired drivers.
The checkpoints will be set up across southern Oklahoma counties, including Bryan County, from Friday night through Saturday morning.
Troopers will also be on heightened patrol throughout the weekend looking for violators.
"We really want to focus on making this a safe holiday weekend for everybody regardless of what activities they have planned. We want it to be safe, and we're going to be out in full force," Trooper Steve Nabors says.
The checkpoint locations have not yet been decided, but OHP says they'll most likely be near city limit lines.
