IDABEL, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering a $5,000 reward for information about an unsolved killing in southeast Oklahoma.

OSBI is seeking information about the shooting death of 24-year-old Jasmon Howell in Idabel. Authorities say Howell was found shot multiple times while he was sitting in his car on Sept. 17, 2007.

Howell was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The Idabel Police Department asked OSBI to look into the case. OSBI says agents have made significant progress but need a few more pieces of information to close the case.

The reward is for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
