OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A group that represents Oklahoma educators is delivering a report card of its own to State Superintendent Janet Barresi.

The Oklahoma Education Association said they plan to grade the first-term Republican Friday on her administration's handling of the new A-F report card grading system for public schools. Pushed by Republicans like Barresi who swept into office in 2010, the grading system was supposed to make it easier for parents to see how their child's school was performing.

But the rollout over the last two years has been marred by delays and fierce resistance from some superintendents to the formula that's used to determine the grades. A change by lawmakers that went into effect this year dramatically increased the number of schools that received a failing grade.
